Who we are
Emily’s Apps Ltd operates BetMethod and is responsible for the information described here. Contact hello@emilysapps.ltd. BetMethod provides football tips, not a betting service. We do not accept wagers, hold betting funds or track your personal bets or bankroll.
Browsing and local preferences
Your age confirmation and preferences stay in this app’s private device storage. Android backup is disabled for the app. Requests for tips and screenshots reach our hosting provider, 123 Reg, with technical information including your IP address and request details. Hosting security/access logs may record this information. We do not ask for your name, birth date, location, bookmaker credentials or card details.
Google Play subscriptions
Google Play handles payment. The app sends a Google purchase token to our server, which checks the subscription directly with Google before unlocking Pro. We receive the product, purchase date, test/production status, expiry and subscription state. We store the purchase token encrypted on our server so that we can check renewals, refunds and eligibility for Pro notifications. We retain a keyed subscription reference and the most recently verified dates for the admin subscription overview. We do not receive your card details or Google password. The app keeps its Pro access session in memory for no longer than five minutes.
Optional notifications
Only if you enable alerts, Firebase Cloud Messaging supplies a delivery token. Firebase also processes installation and technical information needed to deliver notifications. Our server stores the delivery token, a random registration ID, a protected registration credential and your notification preferences. If you have verified Pro access, the registration can be linked to the verified purchase record to check eligibility before sending Pro alerts.
Notification payloads contain no selections, screenshots, stakes or odds. Discreet mode uses neutral wording, but Android still shows the BetMethod app name and icon. Turning alerts off in More removes the server registration after the change reaches our server; Android notification settings can stop visible alerts immediately. Uninstalling does not instantly notify our server.
Optional daily totals
We count first launches, app opens and available Pro-screen visits in daily totals. These counter requests contain only the event type, Android platform and test/production channel - no installation ID, purchase token or individual activity history. Repeat visits count again. You can disable “Help improve BetMethod” in More; it does not affect purchases or notifications. Infrastructure may separately log network requests.
Why we use information and who receives it
We use service and purchase information to provide the service you request, verify paid access and handle support. Security and proportionate service improvement rely on our legitimate interests, subject to applicable rights and local requirements. Notifications are optional and can be withdrawn. We do not profile your gambling behaviour, sell your information or use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
123 Reg hosts the API and database. Google processes purchases and Firebase notification delivery. Email providers process support correspondence. Information may also be shared where legally required or needed to handle a legal claim. Providers may process information outside the UK; applicable international-transfer safeguards must be in place. See Google’s privacy policy and Firebase privacy information for their practices.
Retention and security
Daily totals are kept for up to 400 days. Notification registrations not refreshed for 180 days, and delivery records more than seven days past their delivery window, are removed during scheduled maintenance. Turning alerts off removes the registration and associated queued deliveries when synchronisation succeeds. Purchase information is retained to verify subscription access and resolve purchase issues; inactive records are removed after the retention period described in our service maintenance settings, normally two years after inactivity. Connections use HTTPS. Paid screenshots have expiring links. Purchase tokens are encrypted at rest, and private server credentials are not included in the app. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can disable activity counting and notifications in More. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your information, or object to certain processing. Contact us without creating an account; we may need limited evidence to identify the relevant record and protect your information. We normally respond within one month, subject to applicable rules. You may complain to the ICO or your local supervisory authority.
Deleting the app or requesting data deletion does not cancel your subscription. Use Google Play subscription settings. For Google’s own payment/account records, contact Google.
Adults only and policy updates
BetMethod is for adults aged 18 and over. Contact us if a child has supplied information. We may update this policy as the service changes, with appropriate notice where required. This page contains no cookies or analytics.
